LNFA: Who We Are

Luuka North Farmers' Association is a non-profit, non-denominational, apolitical and non-sectarian organization that was formed and legally registered in 2019 with Luuka District Local Government. It was initiated by a group of volunteers who saw the needs of the vulnerable communities of Luuka North. Luuka North Farmers' Association originated as a result of increasingly high level of poverty, food insecurity, malnutrition, mainly caused by the fact that Luuka is one of the leading sugar cane growing areas in Uganda.

Mr. Chakasi Fred Kiberu
Executive Director

Mr. Chakasi Fred Kiberu holds Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration, Certificate in Administrative Law, Bachelors in Social Work Social Administration, Diploma in Social Work, Social Administration and 15 years’ experience in administration, Planning and management Offers overall strategy, leadership and supervision.

Mr. Kigenyi Hassan
Head Projects

Mr. Kigenyi Hassan Holds Bachelors of Science in Crop Production and Management, Certificate for Building Resilience Against Climate and Environmental Shocks (BRACE) Program from African Food Change Makers, Digital Badge in Farm machinery and equipment for harvest, Post-harvest and Storage from Food and Organization, Certificate in Digital Marketing and e-Commerce for Business Expansion from Digital Skills for an Innovative East African Industry. With 7 years of experience in Sustainable agricultural practices and project implementation. Responsible for overseeing projects implementation, financial management, supervision of daily project activities.

Mr. Bogere David
Finance and Administration Manager

Mr. Bogere David Holds a Bachelors in Accounting and Finance and numerous certificates in finance with more than 8 years experience in accounting and administration. He has a background of marketing with vast experience having worked with USAID, ISDB, UNDP, Water for People, among others. At LNFA, Mr. Bogere David manages administrative, financial, and logistical tasks.

Mr. Ssali John Webber
Head Marketing and Sales

Mr. Ssali John Webber Holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing and has 6 years of experience. He also holds a Honors Degree in Social Work and Social Administration, and other certificates in Reproductive Health issues and HIV/AIDS Couselling and Guidance. He conducts market research, data analysis to create and manage marketing campaigns, manages marketing budget and resources, optimizes marketing processes and strategies.

Ms. Fiida Nabirye
Head Agricultural Extension

Ms. Fiida Nabirye, Field Extension officer holds a Bachelors of Science (Agriculture) and has 7 years' experience.

Ms. Namusobya Rose
Field Extension Worker

Ms. Namusobya Rose holds a Bachelors of Science (Agriculture)with 7 years experience. She trains farmer groups on climate smart agriculture, sustainable agriculture practices and post harvest handling.
